Proudly presenting.....

Summer Stars!

After an extended period of hand quilting.....

Thank you Daniel for holding up this monster!


 on a cold Melbourne afternoon

I have a finish!


It is a big one....64 inches by 84 inches!


The backing is pieced with a small piece of spot...


added to a wonderful piece of floral vintage fabric I 

had been saving!


And my 'stand-by' binding....


Stripes!

Finally, some of the 100 or more circles I hand 

quilted!

    Amazing! you have a lot of patients hand quilting so many circles let alone the rest. Totaly worth it I think because your quilt is stunning!

    It's beautiful Suz, I love it. Fabulous choice of fabric and colour. You must have sewn like a demon to finish the hand quilting that quickly.

    Susan! So beautiful! Look at all those perfect points! Not to mention all the perfect fabrics...love the background fabric and the border fabric. What a monster to hand quilt, but so satisfying! Yay! Another work in progress to check off!

    I love patchwork and quilting but have yet to tackle a very large project like this... bit scared of the quilting part if I'm honest!
