Blogger's Quilt Festival!

"My Favourite Things Quilt" has been some time in the making.....


Some of these blocks came from Round 1 of the Embroider-Bee over at Flick'r....


And some came from Round 2!



So thank you 'Lethargic Lass' and 'Threaded Nest' and 'Sassypacks' and 

'Giveitago' and 'Miesmama' and '2mayboys'.....





This quilt is as much yours as it is mine!

I added a couple of blocks of my own and hand quilted it with some perle and 


Aurifil thread!


And now it is complete!


With its pretty red and white striped binding!

And a pieced back...


It is not a big quilt, only about 44 inches square!

But it is a much loved one!

    This is gorgeous with all your collection of stitcheries, wonderful fabrics, colours and different blocks. It looks great with the hand quilting.

    Suz, We've all been waiting to see this quilt!! It's absolutely wonderful!! All those beautiful stitcheries look fabulous the way you've set them and finished off with perle stitching. I bet this will be one of your all time most favourite quilts!

    Susan, I love this quilt! I wish I could see it in person....I want to see all the details in the embroidery. The sashing and corner squares are so perfect for this quilt. And the hand quilting is fabulous! Thanks for sharing it is wonderful!

    Tell me about this perle. Is that the thick stitching I keep seeing? Is it cotton? easy to use? Where do you get it? I like it, it adds dimension to your quilt.
