Safely back on Aussie soil...
Jet lagged and noticeably colder!
The highlight of Paris for me was seeing it at night!
The Pont Neuf |
That meant walking the streets until after 11pm...
A touch of the Impressionists, don't you think? |
and catching the Metro home!
The classic architecture contrasting with the modern artwork! |
We found a good vantage point to see the Eiffel Tower aglow...
and then watch it sparkle, on the hour, for about five minutes!
which was pretty special!
Quite a contrast to the weather on our last day...
As can be forecast here...
It rained ALL day, and I didn't get a chance to take one photo!!
Which about takes us full circle...
Thank you to everyone who took the time to comment on my 'travelogue'!
We had a fabulous time, didn't we?
Maybe tomorrow I might do some sewing!
Happy days!

Glad you are home safe. It's still cold here, yesterday it rained all day, but today woo hoo we have some sunshine LOL. Thanks for the pictures of Paris - I have never been there at night. Linda
ReplyDeleteWelcome Home! Thank you for taking so much time to share your adventure with all of us. That took a lot of planning and time from your trip...but we all enjoyed it so much! Glad you are home :)

I know you're disappointed you didn't get to wander the streets of Paris during the day, but by night - WOW! It's Gorgeous!!! I Love how much lighting they have used to just magnify those incredible structures and buildings!!! Oh, and to see the Eiffel Tower light up - pushing the green jealously monster down, pushing him WAY down with eyes squeezed shut!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you enjoyed your trip so much Susan, though am slightly glad you're home so you can't tempt me with such glorious photography of Europe for much longer, lol. Hugs.
Lovely pictures from your trip. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun having you in the same time zone! xx
ReplyDeleteSo glad you made it home safe and sound. Now to get back on schedule...I so enjoyed your trip through England, Spain and France. At least you have photos of your visit to Paris. Mr. R dropped the camera the last time we were there, so I only have iphone photos. Luckily it wasn't our first time or I would be very sad. So a little dreary weather is always better in Paris than at home, right? Can't wait to see your next sewing project.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are safely home. Have enjoyed the photos of your travels. What wonderful memories you will have now.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you are back safe and sound. I absolutely loved following your travels, even though I was green with envy. If it's any consolation, I've been to Paris twice and both times the weather was rubbish - it rained.
ReplyDeleteGlad you made it home safe and sound and what a wonderful trip you have experienced and thanks for letting us enjoy it too. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Susan - Paris at night is amazing.
ReplyDeleteYou have certainly had a fabulous trip. I can't believe you did all that cycling! A good way to see the scenery.
