Glitter Again...

These blocks have been on the back burner for a

while....

So I decided they needed some loving!

I enlarged the original pattern to make it a

13" X 5.5" block.

I do enjoy the construction of them...

a nine patch first, as seen here across the

diagonal.

Then the corner pieces, which involves a little

pivoting....

Is that a 'y' seam or a partial one?

I'm never sure ...

And here they are, all together.

I'll leave you with this 'sneak peek' of a quilt I've

just picked up from Karen,

my wonderful long armer.

More will be revealed in July!

Happy sewing!

  1. Love your enlarged glitter blocks! I’ve made some Glitter blocks in the original size, and yes, even a slight y seam is a y seam!
Baptist fans are among my most favourite quilting patterns!

  4. Oh wow! You've gotten back to this again, and it's looking great! How DO you do that piecing?! After making just one block, I think it's a struggle to get it right. Maybe your enlargement helps. I still want to do this, but it's on the back burner for a while. Your longarmer does lovely work.

  14. Those blocks are definitely on my list for 2016.I purchased the templates but they are so much smaller than I thought they would be--so I want to enlarge, like yours. Beautiful fabrics.
