Needing Motivation...

There are a number of wonderful places in blogland

that inspire and motivate!

I wasn't organised enough to join in the

FAL over at Leanne's...

There is also "A Lovely Year of Finishes"...

which I am joining for February, at least!

I am aiming to have my "Almost A Rainbow'

complete-

pieced and quilted!

I am gradually working through each row....

adding the large Kaffe Fassett triangles!

The 850+ pieces will soon become one!

I even have fabric which may become the backing...

Now, do I need to buy batting?

Happy sewing!

Woah, Suz, that looks so gorgeous! I love the combination of your beautiful blocks and the KF fabric. To be honest, I like your color combo better that the original one in the book. This is going to be such a happy quilt!

Wow Susan you really have put in some effort to get this one finished. I can't believe you are nearly there, and can't wait to see it. I like yours better than the one in the book too.

Oooh, I can't wait to see this one finished up! I find these linky parties very good for keeping me on track - I am liable to get distracted by new projects otherwise. Good luck! I am seriously considering buying a whole roll of batting next time it's on sale - have you ever been tempted to do that?

I find I am most motivated in my mind, late at night when I am too pooped to do anything about it!!! Love your quilt and I am so impressed.....850 pieces!!! Get your batting girl! It will be no time before all those blocks are joined and that thing is ready for quilting!

Ambitious goal Suz, good luck. This time last year you were just starting... one block down was it? What progress! Have you been thinking about how you are going to quilt it?

Claire Jain said...

Oh man, counting the number of pieces you have to sew together is always so intimidating. This is looking awesome! Definitely keeping me motivated to knock out my blocks!
