M.M @ T.T

I spent a fun Friday sewing here.....

 with Judy Newman....

That's Judy at the back there...
making this....

Museum Medallion quilt

Well, the start at least!

It is ALL hand pieced!

I began with these pieces.....

but I am not that thrilled with it.

The star points read too much as solids....

and I think I will take out the blue.....

So my star will be getting a makeover!

The colours of the macaroons were an inspiration...

as well as being delicious!

This is Cathy's amazing block....

She is going to applique her centre to that wonderful

Madrona Rd text fabric....

Cathy blogs over at Cabbage Quilts and it was such a

delight to meet her....

Emma, Judy and Cathy
Wish I had more stitching time with her...

Maybe next time....

We will be meeting up in the New Year to check out

everyone's progress!

I had better getting stitching!

Happy days!

WIPS Wednesday, again

I have used the first days of my Spring break catching

up with household business-

ironing, window washing, getting a haircut, sleeping

and shopping....

Pretty, isn't it?

for fabric from Amitie for my Medallion Workshop on

Friday!

(I'll be back with something to show on Saturday,

 I hope!)

I have done a little stitching.....

Jazz Hands # 9 is complete!

And some secret sewing....

for a Flick'r swap!

Dasher is getting a friend....

And I finally gifted my "Crossroads" quilt.....

which is now being used.....

Should I be offended my friend called it a 'rug'?!!!

Happy sewing!

Fresh Squeezed Fabric- Pin it & Win it!

I have seen this fabulous idea popping up in

Blogland, so I thought I'd give it a go!

The idea is to pin a bundle of Fresh Squeezed Fabric

for a chance to win!

If you receive the same number of pins as the value

of your bundle, you win it!

There's a lot of 'give and take' happening......

You pin mine and I'll pin yours!

Anyway, this is the little bundle I have pinned....

I'd love your help to win!

Go here  if you'd like to help out!

THANKS everyone, I've claimed my bundle!

Playing Nicely...

Radioactive was doing my head in.....

It has been banished until it can play nicely!

I was seriously tempted to start something new

but I resisted.....

Scootering...

And dug my Sherbet Pips out of hiding- from last

year,

oops! Its upside down!
Based loosely on this pattern...

"Sea Breeze" by Mary Cowan

It was pleasure to sew with such pretty fabric, and

soft colours.....

And straight lines!

These images still make me smile, even if this fabric

is so 'last year'!

Sweet girls swinging...

I changed the original layout around a bit...

I really wanted to include the puppy dogs

somewhere....

So with some creative piecing....

they are now running around the outside of

"Pips Playground".....

Finished size: 49" X 67"

Happy days!

Is it Wednesday again?

As many quilters do, I have flitted from one project to

another this week...

I have wrestled with "Radioactive".....

The unpicker and I are very good friends!

So much so that this is threatening to be banished to

the UFO graveyard!

Thankfully I have enjoyed EPP #9 of my Jazz Hands

project!

This is my favourite one, so far!

And today I picked up fabric for the backing for

"Castle Tiles"....

I just need to make up my mind on how to quilt

this....

I'd better decide soon because I might be tempted to

start something new instead!

And look what landed in my mail box this week.....

I am so lucky to have received this beauty as part of

the MQPS!

Thank you Tiina- I love it!

(And so does MrPnP!)

What are you working on this week?

Happy sewing...
